Who doesn’t love a bargain? When you have everything to fork out for x6, I certainly do. Whilst out shopping the other day for my two daughters and getting robbed mercilessly, ‘Can I just have this?’, ‘I really need this!’, ‘What about this?’, (walks towards ridiculous unicorn headband that she is three years too old for anyway), I was really extravagant and bought myself this £2 mineral foundation. I was curious to see if it was anything like my Bare Minerals The Original Foundation.
So firstly, the packaging. It’s Ok, looks like a lot of the other Primark foundation, seems sturdy enough. It doesn’t have the little opening thing that covers the holes that the Bare Minerals one does, so you do have to be very careful you don’t spill it everywhere when opening, (definitely keep up high away from curious little hands!).
I applied it with this brush. At first I thought this isn’t really a foundation, more of a powder. But then when I looked at the finished face it does look like foundation. Definitely not as glowing as the Bare Minerals, a lot more matte which I probably need anyway. Here’s how it looked on my face.
Yes there is a bit of shine in the top photo but bearing in mind England was the hottest place in Europe that day I think it’s still impressive.
So the lasting power of this was really good- I will be interested to see how it performs on a more normal sort of day, ie not one of the hottest days ever.
This is definitely worth the money, I was very impressed. Maybe not quite up to Bare Minerals standard but it’s a really good substitute. Give it a go!
